North American Car of the Year Awarded to 2013 Cadillac ATS

The Cadillac ATS was named the 2013 North American Car of the Year as a kick off of the Detroit Auto Show on Monday January 14th. In competition with Cadillac over the title was the Honda Accord and the Ford Fusion, but it’s hard to argue against the decision. Although the Accord and Fusion are both well received new models, the ATS is arguably the new benchmark for the compact luxury sedan.

Jaipur Court Issues the Warrant for the Arrest of Porsche’s CEO

In lieu of a cheating case filed by Precision Cars, an arrest warrant has been issued against the Porsche CEO and Chairman , Matthias Mueller and 8 other board members. Precision Cars used to be the importers of Porsche cars into India since 2004 until Porsche made Volkswagen Group Sales India the sole importer without any prior notice to Precision Cars.

Lotus Makes Goal to Increases Sales 5 Times by 2015

Parent company to Lotus Group, DRB Hicom is predicting some lofty goals for the small sports car company, and is confident that by 2015 the brand will be selling between 4,000 and 5,000 units per year. As of the end of 2012, Lotus only produced 1,043 cars, which is still a long way off from 4,000. This estimate is based on the increasing global demand for sports cars and the new management at DRB-Hicom.
