Volvo CEO Suffers Stroke and is Taking Medical Leave

Stefan Jacoby, CEO of Volvo suffered a mild stroke, but it recovering while taking a temporary medical leave from his duties. Jacoby joined Volvo in 2010 after being a former employee of Volkswagen. Now at age 54, Jacoby is under medical supervision and is focusing on rest and exercise to get back to work as soon as possible. Jan Gurander, current CFO of Volvo is serving as acting CEO while Jacoby is recovering.

Sewage Sludge a new way to fuel your car?

A few Japanese companies are developing a way to turn  sewage sludge into reusable energy, by turning the sludge into hydrogen for use in fuel cells. Getting hydrogen from sewage is cheaper and cleaner than getting it the normal way. It can cut carbon emissions by 75% The process involves drying the sludge, the methane that is generated this way is then re heated to cook out the hydrogen gasses.
