More Dealerships Can Sell EVs and Plug-In Hybrids Thanks to Ford

There is a hybrid, plug-in, and all-electric vehicle war going on in the U.S. new car market right now and Ford is not sitting out on the side lines. Attacking Toyota and their range of Prius vehicles isn’t the only way Ford plans to boost sales of its “green” fleet, which will include the hybrid and plug-in (“Energi” in Ford talk) versions of the C-MAX and the Fusion, and the pure-electric Focus EV by 2013.

Solar Energy is the Perfect Solution for Renault

Using solar energy or photo-voltaic systems is an environmentally friendly way of producing electricity which also helps reduce the carbon emissions. Car manufacturer Renault is using this technology to come up with the ‘ World’s largest photo-voltaic system in the auto industry.’ This project will ‘hit two birds with one stone’ for Renault. Not only will they use the system for environmentally friendly purposes, the photo-voltaic panel will act as a shield for the company’s cars before they roll out of the premises, to protect them from natural elements, especially hail.

Mercedes Unveiled the 2014 SLS AMG Black Series

Under the hood of the 2014 Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series is the same 6.3-liter V8 that powers the regular SLS, which in this case makes 622 hp and 468 lb-ft or torque. That means this car gets a jump of 40 hp and a loss of about 10 lb-ft of torque, though it is still the most powerful combustion engine in AMG’s lineup. A DCT sever-speed automatic transmission is responsible for the power this Mercedes has.
