It has been confirmed by Land Rover that the all-new Range Rover Sport will make its official debate at the upcoming 2013 New York Auto Show.

To celebrate the occasion, Land Rover and its new Range Rover Sport will make its global premiere on March 26th with a live drive through Manhattan before the show kicks off. The British automakers brags that the new Range Rover Sport will be the brand’s “fastest, most responsive and most agile vehicle to date.”

If the new Range Rover model gives any indication, look for an all-aluminum chassis that should help cut the SUV’s weight by around 700 lbs.. while powertrain updates will likely include an all-new 3.0-liter supercharged V6. The Range Rover Sport’s biggest market is New York: more Sports are sold in the state than any other metropolitan area in the world. Also, the Range Rover Sport is North America’s best-selling Land Rover model. Obviously the unveiling will be broadcasted live to a global audience on a new website.
