The world’s fastest man and champion Olympic sprinter Usain Boltm and automaker Nissan are working together to develop a special “Bolt” version Nissan GT-R. In Usain Bolt becoming Nissan’s brand ambassador, Bolt will be getting his own special “Bolt” GT-R for personal use.
Nissan’s Chief Operating Officer unveiled a unique gold-painted GT-R to recognize Bolt’s contribution to sports and automotive enthusiasm, and this special edition GT-R will be auctioned to benefit the Usain Bolt Foundation. When this GT-R is auctioned on the eBay online platform, Bolt’s signature will be imprinted on it as well as fitting the interior finishing in real gold.
Proceeds from this online auction will help the foundation’s work by creating educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people in the Olympic Champion’s home country of Jamaica. Details on the auction will be announced in late October.
In addition, Bolt will start working with Nissan product specialists on a limited edition version of that car that can be ordered in markets where GT-R is available. Details of this project will be announced at a later stage.
