The Chrysler Group and its SRT arm, aiming to satisfy track enthusiasts with deep pockets, formally presented the new limited edition 2014 Viper TA (which stands for Time Attack) in Manhattan on Wednesday, March 27th. All finished in the special “TA Orange” exterior paint color developed exclusively for this model that is based on the entry-level Viper adding a bevy of performance goods to better its handling, only 33 units of the TA will be built and sold from the third quarter this year.

Ford has revealed a special commemorative logo and a marketing campaign that will see merchandise sold from over 50 different companies to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of its most significant vehicles, the Mustang. Jackets, shirts, watches and even pinball machines will be included in this merchandise, all of which will be branded with the new logo.

Starting today, Chevrolet will offer a limited run of NHRA-certified rolling chassis designed for drag racing. The chassis will cost $55,000, and will join the COPO Camaro in Chevrolet’s drag racing family, which will be hand built in the same Oshawa, Canada facility that builds COPO.

The National Research Council stated in a report that the U.S. could reduce fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 80 percent by 2050 in cars and trucks. According to said report, the lofty goal is attainable through the use of more efficient vehicles with biofuels, electricity, and hydrogen.

The Local Motors community of car designers and fabricators and Domino’s Pizza have elected the winning projects of their 5-stage Domino’s Ultimate Delivery Vehicle Challenge. Back in August 2012 is when the contest started, the final goal being to find the best design for a future delivery vehicle that would cost Domino’s franchisers around $20,000 to buy.
