Used Car Prices Increase Thanks To Hurricane Sandy

The estimated 250,000 cars flooded by Hurricane Sandy will drive up used car prices in places as far away as California. In the short term, some experts say prices could rise $700 to $1,000 on the typical used car. Even though these effects will be more felt by those closest to the flood zone, the increasingly digital and national market for used cars will spread the price shocks widely. The amply supply of Sandy damaged vehicles further pose the risk that many will wind up in the hands of unscrupulous dealers peddling to unwitting consumers. These vehicles pose financial and health risks.

What is the Main Influence on People When Buying a Car?

hand shakeAccording to the latest J.D, Power and Associated 2013 Avoider Study, fuel economy remains the most influential purchase reason for buyers when shopping for new vehicles. This study shows that although new buyers still avoid hybrids and electric vehicles because of higher initial costs, 15 percent of new vehicle owners said fuel economy was the primary consideration in purchasing their vehicle. Different reasons why new car shopper are avoiding hybrids and EVs are due to their exterior styling.

Our New Stock Video Round up

Every day we buy and inventory new vehicles. Most of what we get is hand picked from salvage auctions along with some cars we get from private sellers.
