Trunk or Treating?

Some organizations or towns around the US sponsor a “Trunk or Treat” also known as Halloween tailgating, on Halloween night, or sometimes on Halloween day where trick or treating is done from car to car in a local parking lot instead of house to house. The trunk of one’s car is opened showing a display of decorations and candy. Concerned parents see trunk-or-treating as a safer alternative for their children, while other parents see it as an easier way to celebrate Halloween by not having to walk around the neighborhood with their kids. Some argue that Trunk-or-Treating is a violation of the tradition of walking door-to-door on Halloween. Nevertheless, trunk-or-treating is becoming more popular each year in suburban and rural areas all over the country. Here are some pictures of how some people have decorated their trunks for this newest Halloween craze.
