Toyota Lends a Hand to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

For the benefit of Hurricane Sandy victims, many of which are still living without power days after the storm, Toyota has announced that they are donating $1 million to the Red Cross. Toyota also said that they will match employees contributions to the Red Cross, or other non-profit organizations that are assisting with hurricane relief.

“On behalf of Toyota, we express our sincere condolences to the families affected by Hurricane Sandy. Since we have operation and many dealerships in the affected regions, we felt a special responsibility to lend a hand,” said CEO of Toyota North America, Shieki Terashi.

In addition to their donation to the Red Cross, Toyota and Lexus are offering to help out by lease payment extensions, redirecting billing statement, and by arranging phone or internet payment if the hurricane affected their customers ability to pay for a lease, or keep up to day on car payments.
