Hyundai Recalls 2012 Veloster for Shattering Sunroof for the Second Time

Hyundai is recalling another 6,071 more of its 2012 Veloster hatchbacks because the panoramic sunroof might break.

This new recall adds to a previous campaign affecting 13,500 of the Hyundai hatchbacks announced in December, 2012. Cars manufactured between July 4 and October 31, 2011 affected by the previous recall because the glass panels were weakened at the factory during installation. If you are worried that your car might be affected by this recall, you can check your’s car’s built date which can be found on the sticker in the driver’s side doorjamb.

Owners will be notified by Hyundai next month and the automaker will inspect and replace the sunroof glass assembly at no cost to owners.
