MyFord Touch Added to the 2014 Ford Fiesta

Ford’s upcoming 2014 Fiesta got a facelift and is now going to offer the MyFord Touch infotainment system. Ford claims that internal data shows that new vehicles purchased with the system exceed expectations, despite the negative coverage that MyFord Touch has received in the media.

To accommodate for this system, the Fiesta will get a 6.5 inch color touch screen mounted in the center stack. Other advancements given to MyFord Touch include simplified voice recognition, which requires the driver to say less words to activate different voice commands, and simplified navigation controls, making it easier to input destinations into the nav system.

“Take rates for MyFord Touch on new vehicle orders, such as the 2013 Escape and Fusion, continue to outpace our internal projections. We expect the same trend for Fiesta,” said Michelle Moody, Ford cross-vehicle marketing manager.
