132 Cars Demolished in Chase Scene from the New Die Hard Film

It has been recently announced that the upcoming Die Hard film, ‘A Good Way to Die Hard’, will feature one of the most expensive and news-worthy car chases in movie history. According to John Moore, director of the film, there were 132 cars which could never be used again after the scene and another 518 cars that will require a lot of work to be returned to their former glory. In total, cost of this scene adds up to $11 million.

Moore stated that “With Die Hard it’s about how audacious the action is. So you have to drive over a Lamborghini. An actual one. And yest it hurts me, I’m a car fanatic.” The director then went on to reveal the most shocking detail of all claiming “someone showed me the numbers on the car chase and soup to nuts, you put it all together it was like an $11 million sequence.”

To top all of that off, keep in mind that that figure doesn’t include the numerous Mercedes-Benzes wrecked in the car chase as they are provided to the film crew free of charge! Let’s hope for Moore’s sake that the movie racks in enough money so he can forgive himself for running over a Lamborghini!
