Nissan has now come out with more details of the one-of-a-kind, gold-painted 2013 GT-R Premium Edition (MY14 for the U.S. market) designed with the help and named after Jamaican sprinter and Olympic champion Usain Bolt, which will be auctioned off on eBay from November 22 to December 2,2012.
This car is not only finished with a special gold paint, but features a gold plate embossed with Bolt’s signature and autograph. Nissan stated that the highest bidder’s GT-T “Bolt Gold” will be built to conform to the regulations of his or her country of residence with a delivery date for sometime in March of 2013.
Not only has Bolt signed the car, but he has also signed a number of Nissan-related product such as racing helmets, and clothes that will be auctioned off on eBay as well. All proceeds of the Nissan GT-R and other products will go directly to the Usain Bolt Foundation, which was established by the Olympic champion to support educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people in his home country, Jamaica.
“This project excites me because it brings together my passion for speed and excellence, and my desire to help kids and young people,” said Bolt.
